    Dominical

Located 3 hours south of San José, Playa Dominical marks the border between the Central and Southern Pacific of Costa Rica, and is incased in a very interesting naturalenclave between the mountains, the sea and the Barú River. This is an Eden where nature shows off its best finery in an profusion of wild lushness so you can live and enjoy it.

Peacefulness is the note that marks the rhythm in this small town, where the people walk slowly along the mainstreet that comes down from the leafy forest along the river until it reaches the spectacular beach full of palm trees with kilometers of waves etching towards the north, ideal for surfing as Playa Guápil, a brake similar to Dominical but lonely.

Toward the south, Playa Dominicalito enjoys warm calm waters in little corners close to paradise.

Playa Hermosa, a virgin natural reserve that involves the peaceful of an untoched beach full of trees and no buildings around, great spot for surfing when Dominical gets big.

Playa Uvita, beautiful and well known beach with full of services, bars, restaurants, etc;located near the gas station.

Playa Bahía Ballena, a Marine Park with lots of life in its sorrounds, dolphins, whales, snorkeling, and a never forget view, just like heaven.

Playa la Colonia, ideal beach for camping. Few kilometers from Uvita & Bahía, the beach is located just in front of the Bosque Azul, wich has all the basic accomodations for campers. Look for the sunsets, they are unique.

Playa Arco, hidden beach located just beside Playa Ballena you can reach it only by walking a short path, no acces from the road. Monkeys, waterfalls, caves and soft sand, will fill your soul with calm and peace.

Playa Ballena, right in the heart of the National Park, you can walk at least 15km on that endless sand beach without seeing a single human being.

Playa Piñuela, a nice and calm bay. Most of the boats choose that bay to go out to the open sea. Also you can meet fishermen and buy any kind of fish.

Playa Ventanas, a small virgin beach surrounded by the jungle is the perfect place to spend a day with friends or family. On low tide, visit the splendid and mysterious caves that will take you to another dimmension. The entrance is full of palmtrees, with a small path to the beach.
