Our Casitas:
Each bright, spacious casita has orthopedic queen and single beds, reading lamps, night tables, ceiling fans, built in closet, bathroom with solar hot water, and a private terrace (8 by 20 ft) with comfortable 'perezosos' (lazy chairs) and a table with bench.
Several casitas are equipped with air-conditioning.

La Casita

La Casita (max. 4 persons)
Each casita of Hotel Villas Gaia has a queen size and a single bed, or 3 single beds. If required, an additional bed can be added to a casita.

La Casa

La Casa, (max. 7 persons):
One of the casitas has two bedrooms (both with air conditioning), bathroom with hotwater, a screened in living room (with sofas, table & chairs, cable TV and refrigerator). One bedroom is equipped with a queen seize orthopedic bed, the other bedroom with three single orthopedic beds (or a double and a single bed). The two sofas in the living room can be used as extra single (orthopedic) beds.

By Car

By car, it is a pleasant 4-5 hr. trip through what is considered the scenic mountains of the Cerro de La Muerte. From San Jose, take the Pan American Highway South towards Cartago, following sign to San Isidro and to Dominical. The first spectacular view of the Pacific occurs in Dominical on the "Costanera", the new coastal road. Villas Gaia is 35 kilometers (22 miles) south of Dominical. The entrance of the hotel is 1.5 kilometers South of Ventanas Beach and 500 meters North of the entrance of Tortuga Beach.
Or
As an alternate coastal route from San Jose, leave the Juan Santamaria International Airport near Alajuela and drive west to Orotina, Jaco and Quepos. Drive south from Quepos (Manuel Antonio National Park) to Dominical along the coastal road. This route requires 4-6 hrs. Hotel Villas Gaia is 35 kilometers south of Dominical. The entrance of the hotel is 1.5 kilometers South of Ventanas Beach and 500 meters North of the entrance of Tortuga Beach.

By Public Bus

Companies Tracopa or MUSOC drive from San José to San Isidro (3 hours). In San Isidro you have to take another bus which is on the right hand side of the Musoc – Tracopa, just cross one street: Transporte Blanco with destination Dominical and Puerto Jiménez. Take the bus which leaves around 3. 45 PM with destination Dominical – Coronado.
This bus passes the hotel! Just ask the driver to stop at the entrance.
To go back to San Jose, take the same connection: the bus passes the hotel at 5.30 AM. Buses to go North of Hotel Villas Gaia, leave at 8.30 AM to go to Dominical. From Dominical there is a bus Quepos at 1 PM and 2.30 PM, to San Isidro at 6.45 AM and at 2.45 PM.

By Plane

BY air, daily flights from San Jose to Palmar Sur and back via SANSA and NATURE-AIR are available….. Price per person is approx. US$ 70.- one way and US$ 140.- round trip.
Taxi service from the airport of Palmar Sur to the hotel is US$ 25.- one way (half an hour drive).
